PADI Open Water Course

Overview

5 pool dives, 4 open water dives. Equipment is included in the price for all courses. Insurance is included. Manual and certification fee are not included (90 euro/course).

Description

Duration 3 - 3.5 days Who should take this course? To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required. Academic The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases: - Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving - Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills - Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore! PADI Open Water Diver Online gives you the background information you need to dive safely and allows you to study at your own pace through an interactive computer-based program. Get started now! You can also start learning at the dive center with PADI’s materials : Open Water Diver TouchTM (a tablet app) or the Open Water Diver Manual and Open Water Diver Video (a book and DVD package). Contact us to enroll in the course, Your PADI Instructor will schedule time with you to check your progress and make sure you understand important scuba diving information. Equipment In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water.

Day 1: Pool 1
Pool 1 - Time: 13:30 Introduction to scuba equipment and basic underwater skills in a safe, controlled environment. Build confidence while learning the fundamentals of breathing, buoyancy, and safety.

OW1 - 08:30 Introduction to scuba equipment and basic underwater skills. Learn breathing techniques, mask and regulator skills, and basic buoyancy control. Pool 2 - Time: 13:30 Continue developing your diving skills with a focus on buoyancy, underwater control, equipment handling, and safety procedures.

OW2 - 08:30 Develop your underwater confidence while practicing buoyancy, equipment handling, and essential safety skills. Pool 3 - Time: 13:30 Complete and refine your pool skills, building confidence and preparing for your Open Water training dives.

OW3 - 08:30 Improve your buoyancy and underwater control while practicing more advanced diving and safety procedures. OW4 - 08:30 Complete and refine your confined-water skills, preparing you for the Open Water training dives and real diving conditions.
